Hi Sigrid
Thanks for the quick response!
OK, so, we have over 200 scripts in Production and are currently in the process of creating new mirrored scripts that work in S4 (there's a project to replace our 3 current SAP systems into a S4 solution). When a requestor asks us that they want to mass update a particular field or several fields, we make a "best guess" which script may contain those fields and check each script we have to see if it captures the requirement. Our naming convention works really well but is quite wide. Example: MM02_Update_MRP1_View_***
We have an access database that allows us to search for a script(s) that contain a particular field but this needs constant updating each time a new script is developed so am looking to see if there's an alternative solution that someone knows of?

Subject: Script database search by technical field name
Hi Andrew
Not that I know of. I believe scripts are "blobs" in the backend server database. Query scripts may have an attribute of list of tables, but I don't believe we expose fields for any script type.
What is the use case for this? Are you trying to determine which scripts to update if you make an SAP system change?
Would naming conventions help - even a little?
Best Regards,
Sigrid

Subject: Script database search by technical field name
Hi everyone.
I'm wondering if anyone has developed a database or similar which auto updates with any new scripts in production? We have an access database which can be very time consuming to keep updated. Does anyone know a way to search the current list of scripts in the production environment which contain a particular field name?
Am looking to automate and simplify the process if it's at all possible?
Thanks
