I have a Repeatable field configured with a Dynamic Search Control that does return the correct and expected values through the configured query. 

However, the users cannot search in either the Code or Description fields. Any attempt to do so clears out all query returned values and forces exiting the new window and reengaging the field to manually scroll or ctrl+f within the browser window instead to select the required result-set. 

This is present in both Classic and 2020 UIs. 

Is there a current workaround to allow my users to search and toggle within the Code and Description fields while maintaining the expected data pool?

It would help to see this demonstrated.  Would it be possible for you to create a recording, showing the current behavior and during that demonstration, explaining what is desired that cannot be done?
