  • 1.  Read TM routes with BAPI - /SCMTMS/BAPI_SCHEDULE_GETLIST

Hi - I am able to run the BAPI below in SE37 and achieve a report result I want quite simply, but I am struggling to replicate this in Automate.

    /SCMTMS/BAPI_SCHEDULE_GETLIST

The BAPI extracts data from Transport Management "Display Default Route" app

    SE37 example,

I have attached example of my script but it quickly fails with "0" Succesfull Runs

I suspect the issue might be that there is no Output Structures as such, although in GUI I do get an output?

    Hi Lee,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Please try the below steps:

Step 1: Verify the BAPI is Remote-Enabled

In SE37, open the BAPI and check the Attributes tab. Confirm the Processing Type is set to Remote-Enabled Module. If it is not remote-enabled, it cannot be used with Studio Direct.

Step 2: Check Where the Data Is Returned

Make sure the required data is returned in an output table, not just a structure. Studio Direct typically reads data from table parameters.

Step 3: Map the Correct Output Tables

When creating the Direct script, select the appropriate return/output tables and choose the fields you want to extract. For read BAPIs such as GETLIST, results are usually returned in table parameters.

Step 4: Configure the Excel Template

Ensure your Excel template contains the "D" (Download) line item identifier where output data should be written. Without it, returned records may not appear.

    Step 5: Review Commit Required

The Commit Required option is generally only needed for update or create BAPIs. For read-only BAPIs like BAPI_SCHEDULE_GETLIST, leave it unchecked.

Step 6: Use an Excel Data Source

BAPI Direct scripts require an Excel workbook. Access databases are not supported.

Step 7: Check Field Length Settings

If data appears truncated or incorrect, consider enabling Output Length for BAPI Scripts so Studio uses SAP's output field length instead of the internal length.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please open a ticket on the support portal.

    Thanks
