Precisely Buildings  - November 2024 Breaking Change Release

    Abstract

This announcement is to inform you of an upcoming breaking change in the November 2024 release for the Precisely US Buildings product. Please read this message in its entirety if you license this product to understand these important changes.

This release is scheduled for Friday November 29, 2024.

    Overview of Features and Functionality

What is a breaking change? We define a breaking change in the Address and Property products as any addition, removal, or renaming of field attributes; or any change that we believe would affect a client's ETL scripts. Because we know how impactful a breaking change can be to your production process, we limit them to once a year per product. We are providing this initial 6-month notice so that you may appropriately plan to update your production systems as necessary.

A new field will be added to the Building Objects table called LAST_SEEN, representing the last known date Precisely received evidence that a building footprint exists. The intent of this attribute is to provide our Clients with additional metadata that can be used to gain confidence in the currency and accuracy for each record.

In addition to this attribution update, a change will be made to the format of the Data Schema file that is provided within the product zip package. The new format is intended to support Precisely software and cloud solution initiatives.

Please see the attached Buildings Sample Data and Data Schema. This schema contains the following field and template changes:
