  • 1.  PDF layers - label duplicate if not default location

    Posted 06-19-2024 04:15

    Hello,

I have output a map to PDF as layers and there is a problem with the labels if any have been repositioned from the default location.

They duplicate, one label for the new position and one label for the original default.

Is there a fix or setting for this?

    Thanks.

    Hi Paula

We may need some more details on this.

I just did a quick test with MapInfo Pro v2023 and I only got the label for a record with a moved label once.

I tried creating both a layered PDF and a non-layered PDF. That didn't make any difference.

Can you reproduce the issue if you simplify it to an elementary map with just one layer with the labels and the custom label and maybe a base map?

Do you see the same issue if you save the map to an image?

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for your reply to this query as well as my other.

I tried to replicate this today and it is working fine. I know I have had this issue before, so if I come across it again in the next couple of days. I will post it.

It might have had something to do with Layer filters. I noticed that it duplicates labels if I have one for the layer. I may not be using it correctly.

I noticed that the PDF can refresh quite slowly if a layer has a transparency. Is there an output setting which can deal with that?

    Cheers.
