Hello Nick,
I replied by e-mail but it does not seem to have got through. Here was my response to your question...

Hello Nick,
It may be OS-related rather than the application. If the application has been installed somewhere where modern Windows does not give write permission in the same folder, you'll see error like this when creating temporary files.
If (as it sounds), the application cannot be changed to write to an official temporary location and only does the current (application) location, one solution may be to move the MBX to a neutral folder not subject to OS-based user restrictions.
Good luck!

Subject: Old mbx works in v19 but not in v21 or v23
Hi,
client uses an old (and I mean oooold..) mbx for importing some radio antenna data into MapInfo. recently updated to v23 and now they are getting the error :

when they try and import the data. They no longer have the source code.
The mbx itself loads fine and creates a group on the Legacy Tab, etc. All the options seem available but when they try and import the data .csv file they get that error.
They sent it to me and some data and I can replicate the issue on my laptop so its not a network or permissions thing.
Did anything change between v19 and v21 that could have caused this?
Thanks
Nick
