Notice of the withdrawal of the Ironstream Starter Edition feature

    Abstract

Precisely is announcing a withdrawal of a feature of Ironstream.

    Overview of Changes

Ironstream provides the means to stream data from IBMi and z/OS systems to Splunk, Kafka and many other data visualizations or SIEM platforms.

The component that provides data from z/OS systems requires a valid license key to unlock all its capabilities.  Without a key it will run in a very limited mode called the 'Starter Edition'.  The purpose of this was to provide potential customers with a 'taste' of what Ironstream could do and encourage the full and commercial adoption of the product.

This ability to run without a key is being withdrawn in the v2.1.5 Service Pack. With the application of the v2.1.5 Service Pack PTF, if you are using the Starter Edition of Ironstream it will no longer function and require that a valid key is provided.

You should contact your Precisely account representative to discuss your continued use of Ironstream and arrange for the provision of valid key information.  There may be a commercial aspect to this change.

    Effective Date
