  • 1.  maximum transfer count exceeded

    Morning, 

    For context, I am freelancer working on a standalone laptop. Currently I am working on two laptops a new one and the old one that has a number of ongoing projects.

    For this reason I have been regularly transferring my  MapInfo licence between the two.  I cannot migrate the ongoing projects to my new laptop because the workspaces and hence all my layouts will need updating to the new folder paths etc.

    Now when I try to return the licence to the server I get the message  'maximum transfer count exceeded' - I had no idea there was a limit - how can I resolve this very quickly?

    I believe you are allowed to have MapInfo Pro installed on two devices. This constant switching back-and-forth probably flagged your license.

     

    Just call Customer Service.
