Ironstream Integration Component (IIC) v7.4 – Support Announcement
Abstract
The Ironstream Integration Component (IIC) is used by the Ironstream IBM i agent to send log data to the likes of Splunk or Kafka. As of the date of this announcement this software is withdrawn from general availability and can no longer be downloaded from PDX. Full support will continue until December 31, 2024 after which no new fixes will be provided and only online advice will be offered.
Replacement Product
Ironstream Hub is a free replacement for IIC when sending data to Splunk or Kafka. It provides a superior user experience, a modern and secure UI and can, with suitable additional licenses, send data to many more target types than IIC. It runs on Windows or Linux (x64 or PowerPC) and upgrading is simple and quick.
Ironstream Hub provides powerful data filtering capabilities and can send data from sources to multiple targets. For example one set of data can be filtered and split so that subsets can be passed to different Splunk indexes. The Hub can also connect with Ironstream running on z/OS, further extending its reach. It is Precisely's go-forward product for all further development.
