Ironstream Discovery for ServiceNow for IBM i app v7.6
We are very pleased to announce that an updated ServiceNow app is now generally available for Ironstream Discovery for IBM i users. This updated release provides this new feature:
MQ data in ServiceNow CMDB tables
Precisely is working very closely with ServiceNow to have data from Ironstream incorporated in standard (non-custom) tables within in the ServiceNow CMDB.
A previous version laid the foundations for this with the storage of physical frame and LPAR data. This new version adds the ability to store discovered data about MQ subsystems in either new tables, or new fields within existing tables. Information about MQ Managers, channels and queues is also discovered.
The new functionality described here is implemented entirely within the v7.6 ServiceNow app. To obtain this app you will need to visit the ServiceNow Store. You will also need:
- The Windows component of Ironstream Discovery at v7.5.1, installed on a ServiceNow MID server.
- Ironstream IBM i agents at v7.4 with patch 'G' applied
These software and patch levels are the latest at the time of writing and may change. Please go to the Precisely PDX portal to see if there is something newer, before implementation.
Please ensure you obtain and examine the Release Notes, Installation and Administration Guides before attempting implementation.
