I work wit a map of about 35000 parcels, each of these parcels "contain"  values, like size, taxation etc
"Thematic maps" allows  for showing these values in ranges in the map.
Is there a way to show these data in a histogram directly from MIP?

    Hi Ad

Graphing isn't available as such in MapInfo Pro.
I can only think of histogram support in MapInfo Pro for raster grids.

Would be a nice feature to have as it gives you a good overview of the spread of the values.

As a workaround, I would push the data into Excel, maybe using the MapInfo2Excel add-in, and do the histograms here.

Below is an example where I have pushed around 8,000 road segments and their lengths into Excel and quickly added a histogram to visualize the spread of the lengths. Most of them are less than 100 meters in length.

This functionality has been unrealized for a long time.  The possibilities showed up in an ARCuser article in 2003, https://www.esri.com/news/arcuser/1003/files/choropleth.pdf.

In Thematic Maps under ranges, the data required for a histogram are being generated; it would really add value to be able to extract the graph from there.
As the article also shows, adding the histogram to the map gives a much better understanding of the data.
