  • 1.  Extending a Customer to a Sales Area in S4/HANA

    Posted 15 days ago

    Hello,

I have created a Winshuttle script to create a customer (BP) in he S4/HANA environment.

Now I need to create a script that extends existing customers to different Sales Areas. Can anybody please point me to an article that can explain how to do this? (typical issues for me are the going in to a BP in read-only mode and the handling of that, and the behaviour of the Sales Area dialog box)

    Thank you,

    Timothy Lee

    Hi Timothy,

The trick is using the correct create/update triggers. I have attached our script & template with the hopes that it will be a good guide or one you can modify for your needs.

    Hi Timothy

There are also some examples in the SAP Module Templates community here:

Company code (adds or updates) https://community.precisely.com/viewdocument/bp-sales-data-round-trip?CommunityKey=e1f0c200-ca7e-46e7-b5c7-01855e5120c7&tab=librarydocuments

Sales area (adds or updates) https://community.precisely.com/viewdocument/bp-sales-data-round-trip?CommunityKey=e1f0c200-ca7e-46e7-b5c7-01855e5120c7&tab=librarydocuments

They're listed as an update or round trip, but the Transaction script is recorded in such a way that it will add (extend) or update the company or sales data - you don't have to use the Query to extract the data.

    Hope that helps,

    Sigrid

PS: Thanks @Vanessa Kutasi, for sharing your examples.  BP is truly "the Beast"! :)
