As referenced in EnterWorks Tech Talk: "ETT 128 - How to Restore Deleted Repository Records on an Individual and Bulk Basis", Large sets of inadvertently deleted records can be restored to a repository using the SQL stored procedure: epim_restore_deleted_from_history. However, this stored procedure sets the Created state field to the time the record was restored. This conflicts with the history of the restored record, which in most cases will show the created action and its timestamp. Having a newer created timestamp can adversely affect downstream systems that are syndication targets for EnterWorks.

A new stored procedure will report Created timestamp discrepancies and optionally correct those discrepancies, restoring the created action timestamp or the earliest modification timestamp available in the history (in cases where the created action is no longer contained within the history table).

This session describes how to configure and use the new stored procedure.
