Brittany,
You may want to try using the Clone record operation. Once configured, it will not only copy the selected record, but can also copy the linked records in designated repositories. It also allows you to specify what fields to copy or to set to specific values instead of copying from the original record. It may help to watch the EnterWorks Tech Talk: "BBS 105 - How to Copy Repository Records and Linked Records Using Cloning" on the eLearning Platform.

Subject: Copying a Record
Hello,
We are weighing the option of continuing to use the 'Copy a Record' function. To keep data integrity, we were wondering if anyone has any ideas or has already come up with a way to automate the clearing out of specific fields when that function is used. We know there is a way to ensure that no duplicate data is saved, but it would be helpful if we could just clear out the field itself, regardless of the value/condition of it being a duplicate. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you!
