need help changing label titles and managing layers.

Hi Michael

If you open the Explorer window you will find the Layer List. The Layer List resembles the Layer Control back in the classic 32-bit MapInfo Pro.

You can open the Explorer window from the Tool Windows dropdown on the Home tab or simply click Ctrl+Shift+E.

You can access the Layer Properties dialog via a double-click or a right-click on the layer in the Layer List.

The ribbon interface is context-aware. This means that when you select a layer in the Layer List, additional tabs will appear in the ribbon allowing you to modify the layer and the labels.
