I would suggest giving the ODBC approach a go and see how that works.
I have earlier been able to connect successfully to Hadoop through ODBC.
Of course, you need to be careful what you try to pull down as there can be a substantial amount of data.

I haven't tried this but I assume you can connect to Big Query using their ODBC driver and pull data into MapInfo Pro.
Are you just looking to pull in data from Big Query to visualize/analyze it?
