    Assure Security–Release Announcement

    Announcement

    Precisely announces the release of Assure Security enhancements, designed to make your user experience more intuitive, strengthen your data security, and enable your product adaptability in cloud environments.  To acquire these enhancements, you will need to implement Assure Security Service Pack 7.0.15.00.

    This release provides either a new install or an upgrade from all previous release levels of Assure Security 7.0 and 6.0.

    Summary of Feature Additions

    This release includes several enhancements including:

    Assure Monitoring and Reporting Web UI

    • Streamlined Web Interface: Enjoy a user-friendly experience that makes navigating through your security and compliance tasks easier.

    • Review and edit security report templates: The new web UI allows for quick reviewing, copying, and editing of pre-existing security report templates, making it simpler to generate reports that help you assess and enhance the protection of your IBMi platforms.

    • Enhanced Security Assessments: With the improved accessibility and functionality of our security report templates, users can efficiently evaluate the security posture of their IBMi platforms, ensuring they remain robust against threats.

    Improved Encryption

    • Stronger Encryption: Our new encryption algorithm fortifies the security of your data, offering an unprecedented level of protection.

    • Future-Proof Security: This update is part of our continued efforts to stay ahead of potential vulnerabilities, ensuring your data remains secure against new and emerging threats.

    • Available automated solution: "Encrypt While Active" will minimize downtime and provide a more efficient implementation – contact your account executive for more information about this unique feature.

    Operating System Transition

    • Licensing with built-in LPAR mobility option: Keys allow a 7-day grace period for moving LPARs to unknown serial numbers.

    • Facilitate Ease of Transition: This period allows you to save and restore Assure Security to a different system effortlessly.

    • Ensure Continuity: During this period, Assure Security will run on the new system without any interruptions.

    • Key Regeneration: Users will have the opportunity to obtain a new set of keys, ensuring that security standards remain uncompromised.

    • Activation of the Grace Period: The Grace Period is automatically activated under certain conditions, which are detected through the LAKEVIEW/DSPSYSINF system information display.

    Details of these enhancements and additional fixes contained within this release can be found in the associated Release Notes for 7.0.15.00. Precisely encourages customers to stay current by upgrading to the latest release of Assure Security.

    Improved access to Assure Security Documentation

    Assure Security product documentation is available in a new online format in the Precisely Help Center.

    The Precisely Help Center provides a modern experience to help you quickly locate content, personalize your experience, and provide feedback. The Help Center enables you to:

    • Search for help across the entire documentation set
    • Bookmark topics and create a personalized content library
    • Save your searches and get alerts when content is added or changed

    To access the Precisely Help Center:

    1. Go to the Precisely Help Center (https://help.precisely.com)
    2. Click on Assure Security
    3. Log in using your Precisely Support login (if you don't have a login, create one in the Customer or Partner community).

    • Windows® 10, Windows® Server 2016, Windows® Server 2012 R2, Windows® Server 2019
