    Assure Security – Service Pack Notification

    Announcement

    Precisely announces the release of Assure Security 6.0.28.  This release provides either a new install or an upgrade from previous versions of Assure Security. 

    Precisely encourages customers to stay current by upgrading to the latest release for Assure Security.  Details of the fixes and new features contained within this release can be found in the associated ReadMe document. 

    NOTE: With the release of the 7.0 version, Precisely will no longer provide service packs for version 6.0 as of June 28, 2023 and support will be withdrawn for versions prior to version 6.0. . In addition, there is no direct migration or upgrade path from legacy Cilasoft and Townsend products to Assure Security 7.0. You will need to first upgrade or migrate to a recent version 6.0 service pack and then upgrade to version 7.0.

    Precisely Data Experience

    Precisely Data Experience allows customers to access their licensed products for download. To access the software and license tools, you must have a Precisely (Customer or Partner) Community account established and have license entitlement. To download the software: Use the Precisely Data Experience link.

    Summary of Feature Additions or Changes

    This service pack includes the contents of superseded Assure Security service packs, fixes included in the Cilasoft version 5.33 and higher products, Alliance AES/400 version 6.86 and higher, Alliance FTP Manager version 7.6 and higher, Alliance FTP Security version 1.61 and higher, as well as the following changes:

    ·         Increased the limit of effective conditions in System Access Monitor from 24,000 to 50,000

    ·         Various Assure Security fixes.

    Minimum Requirements

    Products: 

    ·         Assure Security 6.0 or higher

    ·         Cilasoft Products: 5.33.T or higher

    ·         Alliance Products: Alliance AES/400 version 6.86 and higher

    ·         Alliance FTP Manager version 7.6 and higher, Alliance FTP Security version 1.61 and higher

    Tested browsers for the Assure Unified Interface:

    ·         Current versions of Google® Chrome™, Firefox® Stable Channel, Internet Explorer 11 and greater, Safari on iPad


    IBM i OS Levels supported:

    ·         7.1 to 7.5, except for Assure Db2 Data Monitor: 7.2 to 7.5

    Supported Windows OS for Assure Unified Interface Server on Windows and Install Wizard:

    ·         Windows® 10, Windows Server 2016, Windows® Server 2012R2, Windows® Server 2019




    Upgrade from Cilasoft and Alliance to Assure Security

    If you are using the above listed Cilasoft and Alliance branded solutions that have become components of Assure Security, it's time to upgrade!  New enhancements and strategic features are being added to Assure Security, so make sure to upgrade to receive the newest functionality.

    Assure Security introduces a new installation/upgrade process that includes:

    ·         New common package for new installs and upgrades of all Assure Security capabilities

    ·         New installation wizard for Windows

    ·         New license key format

    ·         New commands to access the main menus

    ·         And more
