TECHNICAL ALERT TA_230426 was issued for Assure QuickEDD.
Spooled files can be erroneously deleted on the target system.
Issue
A regression error was introduced in Assure QuickEDD 23.02.14 where spooled files can be erroneously deleted on the target system. The Verify process will detect and correct these issues, but if these processes are not routinely run, a data loss condition exists. Service Packs 23.02.14 and the original 23.04.18 (2304181141) have this regression issue.
Solution
Service pack 23.04.18 has been reissued with the fix for this spooled file issue. If you are currently running QuickEDD version 23.02.14 or 23.04.18 (version 2304181141) and are replicating spooled files, please upgrade to the latest 23.04.18 Service Pack (Assure_QuickEDD-Installer_Assure_QuickEDD-HA_QuickEDD-HA-TOOLS_V230418_1151.zip) which was posted on 2023-04-26 (https://data.precisely.com/software/product-details/quick-edd-ha/releases/23_04_18).
After upgrading, please run the Verify process to correct any missing spooled files that may have resulted from this regression issue.
Workaround
If the affected Assure QuickEDD Service Packs are installed there is no workaround to the issue. Users can run the Verify processes more often to limit the impact.
