  • 1.  Allow Form HTML fields for conditional routing in Workflows

    Posted 11-18-2021 04:56

    Hey

Right now, it is possible to use HTML fields for conditional routing purposes between Workflow Items. (See picture below, "Description" is an HTML field on an Asset)

However, HTML fields from Forms cannot be used for routing based on the values of the Form HTML field. The field is not listed in the connecting lines when "Condition" Transition Type is selected.

May this be implemented as well? I have a current use case where I would need this functionality.

    Hi Jan,

This is intentional due to HTML formatting. If this is a requirement for the team, I recommend utilizing simple text if you would like to utilize more operators for routing.

    Hey Matthew

    Thank you for your response.

I'm not sure if you understood me correctly. The functionality I am requesting is already there, for the general HTML fields found on Asset Fields (see screenshot, "Description" is an Asset Field of type HTML). Thus, it already is possible to route based on an (Asset Field) HTML field's content. Couldn't this also be made available for the Form HTML fields?

Furthermore, I have checked your proposed solution. Apparently, simple Form Text fields are available for conditional routing. However, the operators are not quite satisfactory. 'is populated' and 'is not populated' are two operators which are missing here and which I would need in order to process my use case. That would be another enhancement request.

    Regards
