  • 1.  Using Transform Rules

    Posted 03-09-2020 12:33
I am experiencing 2 issues with Transform Rules.
    1) I would like to use data from another sheet to populate initial data for VA01.  It is not populating.  See Attachment 1.
    2) Some Transformation Rules return a formula and others return the actual value.  I would like them all to display the value.  How can I do this.  The SO does create correctly, but looks confusing to the user.  See Attachment 2 - Cells D, F, I, J, and K brings back the formula, while Cells E, H, and I bring back the data.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Deirdre,

In order to get the value, you have to set the format to GENERAL in either Excel or via Studio.
In Studio, right click and choose Number format - GENERAL then choose the Format GENERAL
In excel, highlight the column and Choose format General

    I hope that helps.

    Best regards,
    Sigrid

    Hi Deirdre

Got your message that #2 works with the GENERAL formatting.  I'm glad that worked!

I had thought #1 was the same issue, as you should be able to use formulas to pull data from one sheet to another.  Did you try the formula to pull data in from another sheet in Excel first?  If it works there, it should also work in the script.  You'll need the GENERAL format for those columns, too.

    Best Regards,
    Sigrid
