  • 1.  MapInfo 2019.2 - Error in SQL statement

    Posted 06-24-2020 00:19
    Hi everyone.

I'm getting the 'Incorrect tables are joined. Invalid join condition in WHERE clause.' when trying to run a SQL statement (see image)

I just don't know what the problem is with this, as it recognizes the syntax as correct, but then when I hit run it gives the above error.

FYI this statement is embedded in a MBX tool we developed, and works fine in MapInfo 17.
Any help or suggestion would be great.

    Thanks,
    Maria

    Hi Maria,

Does it work if you put the "NOT" before the "SA1_2016_AUST.SA1_2016"?

    Hi James.

It does work, thanks for the tip :)
Weird that it doesn't do that for Mapinfo 17.

That's OK - I'm glad I could help.  I've always thought the latter syntax more likely to be accepted so have always used that.
