I have prepared a document describing work undertaken in 2019 to build a capability to prepare satellite multispectral data scenes for rendering and analysis in MapInfo Pro. The essence of the process is to support a wide variety of platforms, instruments, products and formats and to automatically generate a standard set of products, consisting of MapInfo Virtual Raster (MVR) files and MapInfo Rendering Algorithm (MRD) files.
