    I am trying to update the Maximum Lot Size (MDMA-BSTMA) in all existing MRP Areas. Can anyone help please?​​

    Have you tried using this template?

    You can download the script and data file from the template library. You'll need to enter all the MRP areas and it looks like max lot size is a field in the script.

    Unfortunately this wasn't what I was looking for. I need to be able to update the Max Lot size field in an existing MRP area rather than when adding one.

    My script isn't getting attached here but you basically need to log on to studio, go to mm02, enter the material number and plant, select mrp1 and update max lot size to a new value.​

    Hi Tim,

    I was able to get it to work using GUI scripting. I used an If Index Field for the MRP area and added a loop. The loop isn't necessary but it's helpful if you don't want to enter and exit the same material for each MRP area.

    Hi Maria

    I've been trying to work out how to get the GUI script [Identify Fields] to pick up the correct MRP Area but not having much luck at the moment. It seems to be picking up the MRP Area at position 4 regardless if it's not the right one or not. Would you be able to point me in the right direction please? We get requests for our NA Spares warehouse to add multiple (up to about 30 different MRP Areas) for multiple materials and GUI seems to be the way to go. I looked at BAPI's but we need to have the ECN number for all MDM requests.

    If you get a chance, could let me know what I need to do to get this working and identifying the correct MRP Area regardless of the position in the list please?

    Hi Tim,

    SAP provides example program RMMDDIBE for mass maintenance of MRP area data. There is not a transaction code for this by default, so you'd have to launch/access it via transaction SE38, or get a custom transaction code created for it. Either way, you should be able to record a script around updating the exact field that you want to update, rather than doing the updates via a MM02 recording.
    Since you can enter the MRP area name as a parameter in this transaction, you won't have to do an IF on index to choose the right MRP area, so it will be much easier to record and faster to process.
