Hello everyone,

I'm trying to record a script in the BP tcode and need to make changes in a single vendor but in both the Vendor and FI Vendor BP role.  I can get to the first one just fine and make the changes needed but when I try to switch BP roles SAP will insist that the changes be saved.  If I select to save, winshuttle will closed the recording thinking it is done.  If I select don't save, winshuttle will continue the recording and let me make the changes to the second role but won't save the changes to the first.  

Ideally the changes would be made in a single transaction but I don't know if this is possible. 

Any insight to get around this issue?

Hello Scott, I am not an expert and have not used the BP tcode however from what you have provided I would suggest using a "chain Script". This means recording both changes you want to do in separate scripts and then link the second one to first one i.e. in  a chain. When you run the update both scripts will be called and changes will be made. There are instructions on how to do this on the Winshuttle site.

Hi Scott, 

I agree with Martin.  BP is a Beast, and "chunking" it up into separate scripts is the best way to go, and then chain them.  Even the BAPIs I have seen are for specific sections.

Thank you for the feedback.  How would you suggest grabbing the newly created BP number from the first script to feed into the second especially when moving the scripts into evolve and hopefully using the autorun in swim lane option?
