  • 1.  Preferred way using Assure Client against database

    Is there a preferred way/benefit to run Assure Client if it was to run a jdbc/jndi to read a database as a source?  

    example:

    running assure client installed in edge nodes to run hive queries   
    vs  
    running the same set of job to run hive queries in Assure servers where application servers reside.

    Hi JL,

    Assure Client would be utilized over the server if the server does not have access to the endpoint ( database ) due to a firewall, etc..

    When running an Assure control utilizing a JNDI datasoure, please note that -local is not an available option.
