I like Forrester's position on automation, and it's one I've been seeing in conversations I've been having with the market: While there's fear that automation is going to eliminate some jobs, there seems to be a growing body of evidence (or, at least, opinion) that automation is really going to focus on augmenting human capability. In this case, automation will help marketing keep pace with the ever-increasing demands of consumers while human marketers the stuff machine can't do well, like business strategy and creative problem solving.
