    I successfully ran the job with smaller drive times for all 50 sites but had problems once I started looking at 10, 20 & 30 minute drive times. I have tried it again without Salisbury and received an error on another site (Swindon). It would be helpful to work out what the error actually is in order to work out what is happening but I think perhaps only PB have the logs required to work that out as this seems to be a generic server error to me.

    I just ran it for Salisbury by itself and it worked fine, perhaps there is a limit which I have exceeded?

    I eventually achieved the whole job by breaking it down into bits but on the last one I had to run it split into three jobs, 10 then 20 then 30.

    Meanwhile, for immediate resolution of this particular scenario, please try following if your intended travel zone settings allow this -

    1. Try reducing ‘MaxOffRoadDistance’ (or simplificationFactor) in request.
    2. Use 'encompassing' option as bandingStyle in case that is acceptable as output.

    Just to confirm, I have already completed the job by splitting it into many tasks. I created this post primarily incase it was a bug for PB to fix. I'm aware that this is relatively new functionality so I thought it best to report the issue.

    That said, you don't really need to let me know the progress as I've completed that job anyway.

    Unfortunately, now in 2023 with MapInfo Version 2021.1 and a reduced driving time range of 5, 10 and 15 minutes, the same error still occur.

    It randomly stopp on an item of a list with error above. When stopped, it is hard to get the rest done.

    And the item doing the stop can easily created on it's own, but fail inside the list.

    Btw., ever tried to append multiple single items one by one to a already existing output table ?

    I fear the programmer never did ....

    • Start Mapinfo
    • Open drivetime regions
    • Open table with the missing items as a map
    • select 1 (and only one because when selecting more it fail with error shown above)
    • In drivetime regions use "Selection" as input object
    • Open file selection box to choose existing table as output table, 
    • Use Append as mode
    • Select your requested region name and also complete the other parameters
    • Process

    • Close the map which opens with the output table
    • close query created
    • Open table with the missing items as a map
    • do new selection
    • In drivetime regions use "Selection" as input object
    • Open file selection box to choose existing table as output table, 
    • Use Append as mode
    • Process

    • Close the map which opens with the output table
    • close query created
    • Open table with the missing items as a map
    • do new selection
    • .....

    What a nightmare of useless repetitive tasks to do on each single item to append ... :-(

    Hi Wolfgang,

    Sorry about the trouble you are going through.

    It really wasn't the intention that you would need to create the drive time regions one at a time.

    Can you try increasing the "off-road travel limit" from 0.1 to say 0.5?

    That has helped other customers
