    Hallo,

    I am on MapInfo 15.0.3 (32 bit).

I want to Style Overide my raster map, and make a colour transparent.  But in my Adjust Image Styles dialogue box I have a little bit of the far reaches of some Scottish islands, which, I guess, are uninhabited, as there's no buildings on them, and the building colour is the colour I'd like to make transparent.  But as it's not in the little map preview window, I am unable to Select Color and make it transparent.

Is there a way to chose what area of a map, or map tile, gets displayed in the the little map preview box in the Adjust Image Styles dialogue box?

    Thanks.

    Alan.

    Alan,

Hi, sorry if I'm misunderstanding you here but cant you just use the scroll bars to move to a location where you can see a building?

    Nick,
thank you for your reply.  Unfortunately, the scroll bars only take me so far, and that's not very far at all.
I don't know if you can see from the image, but that is as far zoomed out as I can go, and as far south as I can scroll, so I cannot get to any areas that have any buildings (the colour I want to make transparent).
    Thanks.
    Alan.

    Alan.

I'm reading between the lines here but to me it looks you have opened a seamless table for a set of raster tiles.  The Adjust Image Style option appears to 'show' you the first image in the seamless list.  I'll have a look and see if I can see away to alter the order of the tiles so the option uses a different tile instead.

Unless anyone else knows a quicker way!

Yes, it is a seamless table, so you are onto something there.

    Alan,

I think I've found away to do it.  It's a bit fiddly though.  Basically the steps are :

    1) Tools > Seamless Manager > Turn Seamless Off
    2) Open browser for seamless table.
    3) Select top row.  Cut and Paste.
    4) Save and pack table
    5) Tools > Seamless Manager > Turn Seamless On
    6) Adjust Image Style should now show a different image to work with

If you need more help I can talk you though it or send over a Teams/Zoom request to the email below and I'll walk you through it on a shared screen (if you're allowed to do that!).
