  • 1.  WMS Error

    Hi,

    We have MapInfo 17.0. 

    We are getting the following error when attempting to connect to any of the WMS Servers:

    Is there a way to resolve this issue?

    Do you get a similar error when using one of the other WMS Servers in the list?

    What happens if you enter the URL from the dialog into your browser?

    Hi Peter,

    Yes same error when we select any of the WMS Servers. The URL works and provides data when pasted into Chrome.

    Hi Jonathan

    Can you check your preferences for Proxy under Web Services on the Backstage.

    In most cases, you will stick to Use System Settings.
    You may run into issues if you have set it to Direct but are using a Proxy or have set it to Proxy if you aren't using a Proxy Server.

    I have also at times cut back on the URL for the server so that it doesn't contain the VERSION and the REQUEST parameters. These parameters will be added to the URL by MapInfo Pro when accessing the service.
