  • 1.  US terrain data

    Can someone point me in the direction of some decent terrain data for the US (not all of it).
    Found some sites with USGS data but they have broken links and dodgy formats that don't readily import into MapInfo.

    Have you tried USGS Rocky FTP server: ftp://rockyftp.cr.usgs.gov/vdelivery/Datasets/Staged/

    They are also maintaining same data on Amazon cloud: http://prd-tnm.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html?prefix=StagedProducts/

    http://prd-tnm.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html?prefix=StagedProducts/Elevation/1m/Projects/ location seems to be having some decent data but there might be more.
