I have a frequently used tool in my tool extensions that I would like to add to the ribbon so that I can access it more easily. How do I do this?

    Hi Bryce

If it's a tool that you have the source code for, you can use the Alter Buttonpad or Create Buttonpad statement to add a button anywhere on the ribbon.

If you don't have the source code, there is still some options but we need a bit more details on the tool.

Thank you Peter. I've attached the .MBX file for the tool. I'm unable to find the Alter Buttonpad or Create Buttonpad you mentioned.

    Hi Bryce

The community doesn't allow all types of files so make sure to zip any file before uploading it.
Did you have access to the .mb file too? That is needed to modify the tool

Thanks Peter. I'm uploading a zip file of the .MBX file for the tool that I'm hoping to create a button for in the ribbon.

    Hi Bryce

Sorry, your reply here got buried in my inbox.

You can't modify this tool without the source code for it.
When you run the tool it currently embeds itself into the Tools window as you can see below

You might be able to create another tool that calls the handler of Update Column within Sum from Cumulsum.
That would however require a bit of detective work to figure out what handler is called.

Did you have the sourcecode (the mb file)?
